This is done at the Mida wreck near watamu. Because the wreck is close to the mouth of the Mida creek diving can only take place at high neap tides. The wreck is a small (20+metres)steel hulled trawler with one of its sides in sand at a depth of approximately 14metres making this an ideal site for those who have never visited a wreck before. The boat went down 20 years ago and its interesting to note the coral growth and marine life that has established itself here. You will see snappers, lobsters, scorpion fish, stone fish. It’s also possible to see large groupers in the old refrigeration rooms. The wreck is not suitable for penetration.
